“What Lies Behind Us…

“… and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Following the Inca-meets-Maori karma cleansing ceremony, I found myself wondering alone through the district in what felt like was my former home, a place I  was unable to reach the last time I was here… within moments, I was approached by a guard who had asked me if I had lost my group (go figure)… when I told him why I was here, and that  I needed to get to the top of where my ‘house’ was, without hesitation, he showed me the way to my former domain, which when we arrived, I discovered, was not a ‘house’ per say, but it was a powerful energy rock that was emitting something which made me feel like home…

Like a child I climbed on top without question, it was radiating so much light- it was like the wind encircling us was directly being shunned into the palm of my hand- from the rock! – I could not stop laughing, it felt incredible

The guard led me to a small clearing behind the rock, a quiet spot, restricted from tourists… where feeling the shower of a cool breeze, together we sat, and meditated…

Within an instant, I was with the kundalini serpent, who had transformed itself into the fiery dog-serpent-winged creature that I saw during the karma-cleansing ceremony in the cave (please see my previous post “What You Seek…), only now the creature was a majestic blend of orange, magenta, and purple… twirling around in an upward spiral, the scene opened up and revealed the sacred valley I was directly facing, and the faces of two beautiful women, appearing in fades of green and blue, propped directly against the sacred mountains that surrounded us… the spirits, guardians, and protectors of Machu Picchu… and then something happened… it was like nothing I have ever experienced before, so many colors began showering me simultaneously… I became a rainbow…

On June 21st, 2012 this was shared on the Facebook Page: Be A Part of the Shift 2012

Opening my eyes, I could not believe what just happened, but I could… (the guard’s mouth was hanging open)…

Saying a prayer to the sacred mountains surrounding us, I left a coca leaf offering buried in the earth next to the energy rock…

The guard then told me that there was another energy rock that I had to see that was inside a special tomb… and I  knew immediately, exactly where he was about to take me…

Leading me back in the direction from which we came, down the terrace stairs, along the mountains edge, together we walked back into the ceremony cave…

Now emptied, I learned from the guard that the body of a woman was found here and her 3 mummified children were found buried in the earth underneath another energy rock just a couple of meters away… all bodies were now in the little museum at the edge of the sanctuary, at the base of the mountain…

Everything made sense… this was sacred ground long before the Incas…which was why we were here… there is so much more to this place than meets the eye- an underground network, buried… this tomb chamber was built specifically using quartz, with a vent, so that whatever spirit’s were laid to rest here could be protected, and set free to go where it would be needed next…

Sharing my story with the guard, and thanking him for having brought me back here, tears filled his eyes as he gave me a hug, and immediately began chipping away at the quartz (oh my god, what is he doing?!?!)… managing to break away a tiny piece of crystal, he wrapped it up in a coca leaf and handed it to me… in a beautiful, symbolic, and unexpected gesture, I accepted from the guard, a little piece of my soul…

Feeling that I would find my teacher once more before leaving, I found him waiting for me near the exit, where he had had enough (not being in physical shape to trek, on his quest towards the sun gate, the Maori accidentally scaled Machu Picchu Mountain instead)…

Once we had arrived at the base of the mountain, we learned that the energy up at Machu Picchu was so powerful it knocked out the towns electricity for the entire day 😉

Basking, smiling, and laughing,  the Maori and I parted ways knowing we would meet each other again as time would allow it…

Feeling that this was not the end, only the beginning, I boarded the train back to Cuzco and found myself sitting next to an elderly English woman, drooling at the site of quite possibly the most gorgeous Argentinian man I had ever seen- laughing at ourselves, we bonded immediately.

Chatting the entire way, I learned that my new friend had a terrible experience riding the train to Machu Picchu, and she thought it was such a coincidence that before I got on the train, she had been secretly praying for someone nice to sit next to her… a coincidence indeed 😉

Rowing through life, this was the most magical birthday, summer, and winter solstice, of my life 😉

    1. Meditating in a power spot is like nothing I have EVER experienced before- I would definitely recommend that everyone’s who’s interested to try and experience that for themselves 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to read this and for commenting!

  1. What an amazing journey. Thankfully we can live a small bit of it through you even if we can’t make it there ourselves( For now!) I will get there one day. Thank you for sharing and bringing us all a bit of magic. Wonderful stuff! Stay in the light beam 🙂 VK
